The Weogufka Center is a member of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce!
The Weogufka Alumni School Preservation Committee was formed April 1st 2007 to save the buildings and campus of the Weogufka School. The Preservation Committee became the Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education Inc. 
Our Goal is to save the Historic Old Weogufka School Buildings and Campus to build them into a center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education for future generations to enjoy.
The Historic Old Weogufka School was first founded on this site in 1888. The first High School was constructed on this site in 1924 and has been a Weogufka Landmark since. The current main building was constructed in 1940. We welcome all visitors to the Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education. Attend our dinner theatre shows every month and our special gospel concerts with leading southern gospel groups. And be sure to attend our special day events such as Mule day in the spring and Old Farm N Bluegrass in the fall. come visit the Weogufka Center. 
Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education is located in Downtown Weogufka Alabama, 145 Memorial Loop just off County Road 41. 
Directions: From Birmingham:Drive south on US 280 to Sylacauga, turn RIGHT south on US 231. Go 6 miles to Stewartville Alabama. Turn to the RIGHT at Chevron Station/ Stewartville Cafe on County Road 41 go 6 miles to Weogufka Center. The Center will be on your RIGHT. If you see the Weogufka Post Office you have gone one block too far: Total distance 50 miles.
Directions: From Montgomery: Go north on Hwy 231 through Wetumpka Alabama to Rockford Alabama. Stay on Hwy 231 to Stewartville Alabama. Turn LEFT on County Road 41 at the Chevron Station/ Stewartville Cafe and go 6 miles to Weogufka Center. The Center will be on your RIGHT just before the Post Office and Downtown Weogufka. Total Distance 55 miles
Direction: From Clanton: Go North on I-65 to the Lay Dam Exit. (Big Peach Water Tank) Turn RIGHT on State Road 145, go 1.6 miles turn RIGHT on County Road 55, (At Hickory Chip BBQ) drive 3.9 miles and take a sharp turn RIGHT still on County Road 55. Drive 15.2 miles to the 4 way stop at Unity Alabama. Take RIGHT and go 3 miles to Downtown Weogufka. Turn LEFT in Downtown Weogufka and go 1/4 miles to Weogufka Center located on your LEFT just pass the Weogufka Post Office: Total Distance 23 miles
Direction: From Alexander City:Drive west on Hwy 280 towards Sylacauga to County Road 41. Take LEFT on County road 41 to Stewartville. Cross Hwy 231 in Stewartville at the Dollar Store. Go to dead end and turn LEFT. Go 6 miles to Weogufka Center which will be on your left. If you pass the Weogufka Post Office you have driven one block too far:

The Weogufka Center is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) Tax Exempt corporation. The center is situated on 16 acres of land. There is 32,000 Square foot under roof. The center is the home of the Weogufka Center Dinner Theatre show each month. The Southern Gospel Gospel Show each May, The Weogufka Mule Day, The Weogufka Antique Car Show, The Weogufka Old Farm "N" Bluegrass Day, The Alabama Singer-Songwriter Association, The Weogufka Haunted House, Weogufka Trade Days, Weogufka ATV Day, Weogufka Tractor Show, The Weogufka Neighborhood Watch, The Alabama Family Council, The Coosa county GED program, The Coosa County Voting Center, The Eagle's Nest Life Center, Weogufka Volunteer Fire Department fund raising events, and more. Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education:An organization of Weogufka Alumni and friends dedicated to saving and preserving Weogufka High School Buildings and Campus for the purpose of Arts, Entertainment, and Education. Weogufka Center is the former Weogufka High School Campus which was chartered as a school in 1924. The campus was used as an Elementary and High School from 1924 until 1988. It was used as West Coosa Elementary School from 1989 until 2004. It has been used as the Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education since 2007. All officers and staff volunteer. There are no paid employees.

Volunteer and be a part of the Weogufka Center. We need volunteers to help with shows, Food Services, Building Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Roofing, and much more. The name change from Weogufka Alumni School Preservation Committee to Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education is part of the future use program. The Weogufka Alumni School Preservation Committee became the Weogufka Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Education May 2009. The Weogufka Alumni School Preservation Committee is a non-profit organization founded 01 April 2007.
